Mr. Cohen brings over 13 years of healthcare experience to Appriss Health with a career spanning leadership positions at McKinsey and Company, Anthem, and Healthways.
In his most recent role, he served as the Market President of Tennessee for Evolent Health, a leading health IT and population health provider, where he was responsible for the operations, growth, and profitability of regional relationships.
Mr. Cohen holds a BBA, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin, a master of computer and information technology from the Moore School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jim Huizenga received his medical degree in 2000 from the University of Michigan and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine with the combined United States Air Force and Wright State School of Medicine program in Dayton, OH. After serving in the military he joined a private emergency medicine group in Dayton, OH where he continues to practice clinically.
Dr. Huizenga has been involved in software development since 1994 and has served in the roles of programmer, architecture design, and project manager. His experience includes the design and deployment of analytic and computational tools for the legal and healthcare professions.
Dr. Huizenga melded his software and clinical experience when he oversaw the design and deployment of NARxCHECK, which required the collaboration of clinicians, administrators, government officials, and developers. Dr. Huizenga continues to focus his clinical and software expertise on the opioid epidemic facing the country.
SENIOR vice president
Jim Acquisto retired as a Detective Sergeant with the Daviess County KY Sheriff’s Office after serving 21 years, most of which was in narcotics investigation. He was certified by DEA as a Clandestine Lab Technician and Site Safety Officer in the late ‘90’s, and worked over 150 meth labs.
Acquisto has trained law enforcement officers and prosecutors across the US in drug investigation. After retirement, he served as ED in the KY Office of Drug Control Policy, ED of KY Charitable Gaming, and Director of Enforcement for KY Alcoholic Beverage Control. He is a certified as a police instructor and chief law enforcement executive in KY.
He has worked at Appriss, Inc. since 2008, where leads a multi-state regulatory effort against the diversion of methamphetamine precursors. Acquisto holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Kentucky State University.

Asad Zaidi is an experienced IT leader who has successfully delivered, implemented and supported complex Web, Mobile, Collaboration and large volume transaction processing applications.
He has proven people management, and business relationship skills. Asad is an experienced leader with the ability to set direction, and align and motivate a global team (state-side and offshore).
Senior VICE PRESIDENT of New BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT and Customer Relationship Management
Mr. Brad Bauer brings over 28 years of professional experience working within commercial and government healthcare and strategic partner markets.
Brad’s background also includes over 21 years of experience working within Healthcare Information Technology solutions to help access and mitigate risk. Prior to joining Appriss, Brad worked with McKesson’s interoperability and healthcare technology company, RelayHealth. He worked on projects such as Provider/Supplier enrollment with CMS central office, and program integrity efforts at the state Medicaid level.
Brad also worked closely with the DEA, FDA, and CDC leveraging prescription drug diversion solutions on a national scale. For the past 12 years, Brad has been focused on state Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMP’s) and efforts to integrate PDMP data within the clinical workflow. Brad holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA.

Ken’s experience in healthcare encompasses more than thirty (30) years ranging from working in a hospital’s emergency department to managing and directing a large national Emergency Medical Service organization. The last fourteen (14) years Ken has been instrumental in helping connect key aspects of healthcare data enabling hospitals to make vast improvements within the revenue cycle and clinical healthcare systems.
He taught certification classes in Vehicle Rescue, First Responder Training as well as being a CPR Instructor Trainer for the American Heart Association. He completed his paramedic certification in 1984 and his degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Applied Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University. Ken is a past board member of the Texas Ambulance Association and is a long-time member of HFMA. His prior speaking events include HFMA’s Oregon Chapter, North Texas Association of Hospital Access Managers, and East Tennessee EMS Director’s Association.

David Griffin is the Vice President of Marketing for Appriss Health.
He has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience in the technology and healthcare fields. Prior to joining Appriss Health, he was the Director of Marketing for Connance, a healthcare data and analytics company. Prior to Connance, David spent many years working in high-tech public relations in the Boston area.
He also served as Corporate Communications Manager for Infinium Software. And, he was a high school English teacher.
