Recent preliminary data from the CDC indicates that overdose deaths in 2020 will rank among the highest on record – possibly the highest in history. Additionally suicide rates spiked, after hitting one of the lowest rates on record in 2019. In other words, the pandemic and co-occurring obstacles we have experienced in 2020 created a catastrophic environment for those battling behavioral health challenges.
Despite the complications of 2020, our team remained highly committed to delivering effective solutions for our customers.
We invite you to take a look at our inaugural Appriss Health Impact Report to better understand how the events of 2020 impacted our nation, how we subsequently evolved one of our solutions to address the pandemic, and how we partnered with the healthcare industry to treat millions. Ultimately, this resulted in amazing outcomes, like the decrease of opioid prescribing by 51 percent at Norton Healthcare and the implementation of Gateway across the entire Veteran’s Health Administration health system.
Nobody could have predicted the complex obstacles we faced in 2020, but amidst that turmoil we saw our medical community come together to make a difference. We are proud to support those heroes every day.
